Matt joined Brazos Residential as Director of Asset Management in May 2022. He has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience ranging from a valuation analyst and manager at GE Capital, to most recently a VP and senior originations underwriter of the Central region (TX, CO, OH, IN, and KY) at PNC. Matt has expertise in both asset management and new loan origination of all property types as he underwrote and managed a portfolio of assets at PNC valued at over $750 million. During his tenure at PNC Matt provided recommendations for credit structuring and assisted in term sheet negotiations, as well as ordered and reviewed for accuracy third party reports including environmental reports, appraisals and KYCs. Matt was responsible for analyzing the credit worthiness and management capabilities of Sponsor/Guarantor, including detailed review and analysis of personal and corporate tax returns and financial statements.
While at GE Capital Matt underwrote high risk debt and equity assets for regulatory compliance on a quarterly basis. He aided in the creation of the valuation process and procedures for GE’s highest risked debt and equity during a time of conversion to a federally regulated environment. Additionally, he underwrote and conducted due diligence on a $1.4 billion office platform sale with Blackstone.
Matt received a BBA from Baylor University with a double major in Finance and Real Estate. Matt lives in Allen, TX with his wife and two daughters.
